Mole Twee is Low German (plattdeutsch) and means ‘Mole Two’, like ‘Pier Two’. With this, we first want to establish a connection to the coast and the harbour. Because that is where our products come from. And the use of Low German situates us in the north of Germany, our home of Schleswig-Holstein, the land between the seas.

What’s more, Mole Twee can also be read the other way round, as twee mol. And that means, also in Low German, ‘twice’. This is a nod to the reuse of our building materials. Using them twice, rather than throwing them away and having to tap into new resources.
